Blackpool Film Festival is looking for spaces to host a variety of exciting festival activities later this year

Would any Blackpool venues like to host a screening, talk, workshop, or film event? If so, the festival team want to hear from you!

Since 2014, the festival has brought a diverse range of film experiences and artist-led events to Blackpool, and the aim is for the 10th year to be bigger and better than ever.

Previously known as the Winter Gardens Film Festival, this year the festival has been rebranded as Blackpool Film Festival to highlight the ambition to become a town-wide, multi-venue festival.

The plan is to expand events and activities across venues and make this year’s festival a big celebration of film, inviting audiences to enjoy a range of exciting experiences in the growing cultural hub that is Blackpool. The town has so much to offer, and the festival aims to help demonstrate that by bringing audiences to more of Blackpool’s wonderful local venues.

Understanding that running a venue is always busy work, the team of experienced staff and volunteers are available to offer any help needed with event planning, programming, technical support, marketing, box office, and ‘on the day’ hosting. Venues can be involved as little or as much as they like, and the festival team will handle the rest.

The festival will run screenings, events, and activities from Friday, 1st to Sunday, 3rd November, so if any venue has availability that weekend (or around that time) and would like to hear more about Blackpool Film Festival and potential events and activities the space could host, please get in touch by emailing info@blackpoolfilm.co.uk or sending a message on the festival’s Facebook or Instagram pages.
