Blackpool Pleasure Beach Kicks Off 2025 With a Prestigious Accolade and a Recruitment Drive for Seasonal Roles

Blackpool’s iconic Pleasure Beach Resort has started 2025 on a high note, earning a spot on Blooloop.com’s prestigious list of the best family-owned theme parks in the world.

It is the only UK attraction to make the cut standing proudly alongside globally renowned parks such as Europa-Park in Germany, Siam Park in Tenerife and IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai. This recognition highlights the park’s family ownership and innovation setting it apart from competitors like Alton Towers and Thorpe Park which are part of larger corporate groups.

Amanda Thompson OBE, the resort’s CEO said: “We’re honoured to be recognised as one of the best family-owned theme parks in the world. This is a celebration of our incredible team and the loyal visitors who make Pleasure Beach Resort a truly special place year on year.”

The accolade comes as the resort gears up for its 2025 season which begins on Saturday, March 2nd. Tickets are now available online with prices starting at £32 for adults and £28 for children under 12. Families can also enjoy Nickelodeon Land during February Half-Term from February 15th to 23rd at a reduced price of £25.

In addition to welcoming visitors, Pleasure Beach is launching a recruitment drive to fill more than 100 seasonal job vacancies.

There are both full and part-time roles available across a variety of departments including operating rides, working in retail and catering units, maintaining the park and assisting with shows and events. Applicants with a taste for entertainment may even find themselves working alongside SpongeBob SquarePants and the PAW Patrol pups in Nickelodeon Land.

Two recruitment days will take place on Tuesday, January 21st from 2pm to 6pm and Saturday, January 25th from 10am to 4pm at WG Beans coffee shop on Balmoral Road. There is no need to register but applicants must bring a passport or birth certificate along with their National Insurance number.

While the roles are seasonal there is potential for permanent work and progression within the company. Perks include a season pass, free tickets for friends and family, discounts on shows and events and access to seven other theme parks across Europe including Europa Park in Germany and PortAventura in Spain.
