Full Line-Up Confirmed for Blackpool Air Show 2025

The skies above Blackpool will once again come alive this summer as the Blackpool Air Show returns on Saturday, 9th and Sunday, 10th August 2025.

Taking place along the iconic seafront between Central and North Piers on the Tower Festival Headland, the free two-day event will celebrate aviation past and present with a thrilling mix of RAF displays, vintage aircraft and breathtaking aerobatics.

A centrepiece of the weekend, the world-famous Red Arrows will showcase the speed, agility and precision of the Royal Air Force. Flying their celebrated ‘Diamond Nine’ formation, the display team promises a show-stopping performance packed with colour and skill, performing on both days.

Joining them is the RAF Typhoon Display Team, piloted by Squadron Leader Nathan Shawyer, who will perform a high-energy demonstration of power and manoeuvrability in one of the RAF’s frontline fighter jets.

Nathan Shawyer said: “Blackpool is a fantastic air show, a real stalwart of the UK display calendar. We’re so pleased to be flying here during our 20th anniversary season.”

Aviation heritage will be honoured by the return of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, featuring the iconic Spitfire, Hurricane and Avro Lancaster. These historic aircraft serve as flying tributes to those who served and sacrificed in wartime and will appear on both days of the show.

Crowd favourites Team Raven will also return, with up to six aircraft flying in tight formation. The AeroSuperBatics Wing Walkers will perform gravity-defying stunts while standing on the wings of 1940s Boeing Stearman biplanes at speeds of up to 150 miles per hour.

This year’s line-up also includes a wide range of additional displays such as The Catalina, Yak Trio, Muscle Pitts, Chipmunks and the Strikemaster.

The Calidus Autogyro, flown by Peter Try-Davies, is also hoped to make a return, adding to the variety of aerial acts across the weekend.

Cllr Lynn Williams, Leader of Blackpool Council, said: “Blackpool has a rich history of celebrating aviation, having hosted the UK’s first official public flying meeting back in 1909. That legacy lives on today through the Air Show, which continues to captivate audiences across the Blackpool skyline. From vintage aircraft to advanced jets, there’s something for everyone to enjoy over the weekend.”

On the ground, visitors can explore the Air Show Village, located between Central and North Piers. It will feature official merchandise stalls, family attractions, military displays, food concessions and interactive exhibits from the Armed Forces.

There will also be a chance to meet the ground crew and serving military personnel, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at some of the aircraft and equipment on display.
