Blackpool’s White Tower restaurant and Boulevard Hotel’s Beachside restaurant have been named among the top 10 in Lancashire, according to OpenTable – the popular restaurant search engine where diners book and leave reviews.
Every month, OpenTable looks at millions of reviews from diners and pulls together a list of the best-rated restaurants in each area. Both White Tower and Boulevard made the cut, alongside other favourites like The Grand Hotel in St. Annes and Eight at Gazegill near Skipton.
Barry Tiplady, general manager at White Tower, said, “The White Tower has been a go-to for people in Blackpool for 45 years. It’s our mix of delicious menus, traditional setting, and those unbeatable views of the coast that keeps people coming back. We’re proud to see that reflected in the reviews – it means a lot to the team.”
Just a short walk away, the Boulevard Hotel’s Beachside restaurant has also been making a name for itself. The hotel recently won Northern Europe’s Best Luxury Hotel and Britain’s Best Luxury Lifestyle Hotel, and now its restaurant is getting its time in the spotlight.
Philip Gahrmann, Boulevard’s food and beverage manager, said: “A lot of people don’t realise our restaurant is open to the public, not just hotel guests. We like to think of ourselves as a bit of a hidden gem. With locally sourced food, a beautiful setting, and views of the coastline and Illuminations, it’s great to see that diners are loving it. We can’t wait to welcome even more locals and visitors to come and try it for themselves.”
Both restaurants are right next to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, adding even more reasons to visit the famous attraction.
The White Tower first opened its doors in 1979 and has hosted some big names over the years – everyone from Margaret Thatcher and Barbara Windsor to Robbie Williams. Boulevard, meanwhile, is a much newer addition, opening in 2019, but it’s already racked up a list of awards for its luxury experience.
With Christmas around the corner, both venues have plenty to offer for the festive season. The White Tower is serving up festive lunches every Wednesday to Sunday throughout December, created by head chef Anthony Malone and packed with all the seasonal favourites.
At Boulevard, you can enjoy a special three-course Christmas Day lunch – and if you want to make it extra special, you can add an overnight stay to really make the most of it.
