Shine Bright for Trinity and Join the Blackpool Glow Walk 2025

The Blackpool Glow Walk returns this autumn, taking place on Saturday, October 4th from the Tower Festival Headlands.

The event village opens from 5.45pm, with entertainment starting at 6pm to get everyone in the mood. At 7pm there will be a moving memory video, before walkers set off under the Illuminations at 7.30pm.

You can choose from a 2.5 mile route turning at Gynn Square, or a 5 mile route reaching Red Bank Road in Bispham. Both routes are suitable for families, friends and groups of all ages and abilities.

Why to Walk

The Glow Walk is a chance to come together, remember loved ones and raise vital funds for Trinity Hospice. Every pound raised helps provide outstanding end-of-life care for patients and families across the Fylde Coast.

At Trinity, life is at the heart of everything. Rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, the hospice provides relief from pain and symptoms, comfort and compassion, and care that extends across the Fylde Coast – in the hospice, in hospital, in a care home or in someone’s own home.

What to Expect on the Night

Every walker will receive a Trinity Hospice tech t-shirt, a unique number and a commemorative 2025 medal.

On the night there will be glowing merchandise on sale, from sparkling tutus to light-up glasses and necklaces, so you can shine brightly along the route.

Facilities and toilets will be available at the Headlands, with food and drink vendors throughout the evening. Water will be provided at the finish line, though we recommend bringing your own bottle too.

How to Get Involved

The Glow Walk is free to enter, but every participant is asked to raise a minimum of £30 in sponsorship or make a one-off donation.

It’s easy to fundraise online by setting up a JustGiving page and sharing it with friends and family across social media, email or WhatsApp. You can also raise money offline through sponsor forms, or think creatively with bake sales, sweepstakes or selling unwanted items.

Donations can also be made on the night, with marshals carrying “tap to donate” machines, collection buckets and a Donation Station accepting cash and card.

Supporting Trinity Hospice

By joining the Glow Walk, every step you take helps secure the future of hospice care for local people. With funding pressures and rising demand for services, Trinity needs community support more than ever to ensure compassionate care is there for every patient and family who needs it.

The Glow Walk is more than a fundraising event, it’s a night filled with light, love and togetherness. It’s about remembering those we’ve lost, celebrating their memory and creating hope for the future.
