Blackpool BIDs Limited is the accountable body behind Blackpool’s two-BID model, overseeing the management and delivery of both the Town Centre BID and the Tourism BID.

Together, these two Business Improvement Districts support the town’s businesses, strengthen the local economy, and help create a safer, more attractive environment for everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Blackpool.

BID Governance

The company is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for the effective governance, financial oversight, and operational delivery of both BIDs. The Board is made up of representatives from a wide range of stakeholders, including those from each BID area, and has the appropriate balance of skills, experience, independence, and local knowledge to discharge its duties effectively.

The Board meets quarterly to set the strategic direction, drive the aims and objectives set out in the five-year business plan, approve budgets, and monitor performance. Directors are appointed by the Board and Management Group members by the Finance and Governance Group. Delegated powers are also provided to this Group to support the implementation of Board decisions, good governance and ensure robust financial control.

The The Tourism BID Management Group guides the day-to-day work of the Tourism BID. Members are selected from businesses located within the Tourism BID boundary. This group helps shape the annual programme of activity in line with the business plan and proposes yearly budget requirements for Board approval.
